ABOUT ANDREW SCOTT HUTCHISON

Professional pitcher that was drafted by the Toronto Blue Jays during the 15th round of the 2009 MLB Draft. On March 31, 2015, he became the youngest Opening Day starter in Toronto's franchise history. He was acquired by the Detroit Tigers via minor league contract in February 2021.

He was drafted out of Lakeland High School in Lakeland, Florida.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Kansas City Royals on April 21, 2012.

He is a native of Lakeland, Florida.

He was once included in a trade package for Francisco Liriano .
