Musician who wrote the classic 1970s songs "Lonely Boy" and "Thank You for Being a Friend." In 2008, he released his eleventh studio album, Copy Cat.
He performed with the Los Angeles band Bryndle and did music production for various artists on the side.
He worked on solo albums by several of The Beatles, as well as Neil Diamond , Wynonna Judd , and Cher. His song "Spooky, Scary Skeletons" has accumulated over 40 million streams on Spotify.
His mother provided the singing for Natalie Wood in West Side Story, and his father won an Oscar for his score of Exodus.
He played almost every instrument on Linda Ronstadt's breakthrough hit single "You're No Good."
