He began his professional career playing for the Mets' rookie affiliate team the DSL Mets.

He went 2-for-4 in his first career major league start playing against the Boston Red Sox on July 29, 2020.

He lives with his wife, Rogerlys Amaya.

He was included in a trade package deal for Francisco Lindor in January 2021.
