ABOUT ANA BăRBOSU
Romanian artistic gymnast who has won multiple European championships. She also won multiple Romanian National Championships all-around champion. In August 2024, the International Olympic Committee announced that she would receive the bronze medal in the floor exercise, after it was stripped from American gymnast Jordan Chiles .
She started practicing gymnastics at age four. At age six, she began training every day.
In the year 2017, she competed at the Romanian Junior Championships. She received silver in the balance beam and all-around and bronze in the floor exercise. She has several piercings in each ear, and likes to accessorize her outfits with bracelets and rings.
Her mother, Pompilia Bărbosu, was a Romanian language teacher. Her father worked in the construction industry. She has an older brother.
She and Ana Porgras are both famous Romanian gymnasts.
