ABOUT AMANDA BRUGEL

Canadian actress who first grabbed the attention of audiences with her roles in the 1999 HBO original movie Vendetta and the 2001 science fiction slasher film Jason X. She went on to give a critically-acclaimed performance in the 2013 comedy film Sex After Kids. More recently, she starred in the 2022 Canadian drama film Ashgrove.

She graduated with a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the theatre program at York University in 2000.

Her performance in Sex After Kids earned her the 2014 ACTRA Award for Best Female Performance. Her amandabrugel Instagram account, where she shares photos of her day-to-day life, has amassed over 130,000 followers.

Her mother is English. She has two children.
