Photographer who is a member of the Burn After Reading poetry collective and a former Barbican Young Poet. She won the Wasafiri New Writing Prize for poetry in 2015.
She grew up loving YouTube makeup tutorials.
She photographs mostly women of color to widen representation. She has over 20,000 followers on her amaalsaid Instagram account.
She has a drawer full of pictures of her mother that she hasn't been given permission to share. Most of her scarves are her mother's as well.
She shares a birthday with popular YouTuber Danielle Mansutti .
