She had one of her first roles in the children's film Sesame Street Presents Follow That Bird in 1985.
She was the host of the children's programming block on CBC from 2000 until 2003. She has played Claire Redfield in multiple Resident Evil video games.
She was married to Erik Suzuki from 2000 until 2005. She has a son.
She co-starred with Sam Waterston in the 1990 television movie Lantern Hill.
