An English author of self-help books, he is best known for his work on conquering addictions. His books include The Easy Way to Stop Smoking and The Easy Way to Stop Drinking.
He was born in London, England. He worked as an accountant for many years before becoming a self-help author.
He was a chain smoker for more than three decades.
He had four children and eleven grandchildren. Sadly, despite quitting smoking, he died of lung cancer at the age of seventy-one.
He helped many celebrities, including Ashton Kutcher , quit smoking.
