ABOUT ALFRED FARAG
Egyptian playwright who was prominent during the second half of the 20th century.
He studied English Literature at Alexandria University and obtained his degree in 1949.
He wrote over 50 plays, including The Barber of Baghdad and Sulayman Al-Halabi.
His brother Said was an actor who performed in a number of Alfred's plays.
He became prominent during the same period as Egyptian actor Omar Sharif .
