Professional reliever that was drafted by the Cincinnati Reds during the 12th round of the 2015 Major League Draft. He was named one of the Reds' top 100 MLB prospects in 2021. His baseball fame has earned him over 20,000 followers on his Instagram account.

He initially began his professional career playing for the AZL Reds. He only pitched in nine games with the team.

He made his major league debut pitching against the Atlanta Braves on April 8, 2022. He finished his rookie season with a 1.84 earned run average.

He is a native of Humacao, Puerto Rico. He is the younger brother of Edwin Diaz .

He struck out both Travis d'Arnaud and Adam Duvall during his MLB debut.
