ABOUT ALEXANDRE FARTO
Graffiti artist known on Instagram as vhils who is considered one of the top urban artists in the world. In 2023, the Hotel Artsys Cascais was inaugurated, with a façade that he designed. The Luxembourg Freeport, an art storage facility, includes a large mural made by him.
He studied at the Byam Shaw School of Art in London. He gained prominence when his work of a face carved into a wall appeared alongside a picture by street artist Banksy at the Cans Festival in London in 2008.
His Instagram page has amassed 750,000 followers. He mainly posts the street art that he has made in many different countries of the world.
He was born in Portugal.
In November 2020, he posted an Instagram video that showcased his carving of the face of Portuguese poet José Saramago .
