ABOUT ALEXANDRA PETRI

Writer and humorist who has written for The Washington Post newspaper as well as the ComPos blog on the paper's website. Her book of essays, A Field Guide to Awkward Silences, was published in 2015.

She grew up in Washington, D.C. and graduated from Harvard University with an English degree. In 2010, she became the youngest person to have a column in The Washington Post.

She is the creator of the popular Twitter account Emo Kylo Ren.

She is the daughter of politician Tom Petri and former ACTA president Anne D. Neal.

She was college roommates with comedy writer Megan Amram .
