ABOUT ALEXANDER CANARIO

Professional center fielder that was signed by the San Francisco Giants as an international free agent in 2016. He was later acquired by the Chicago Cubs via trade in July 2021. He was named one of the Cubs' top 50 MLB prospects in 2022.

He originally began his professional career playing for the DSL Giants rookie affiliate team. He played in exactly 66 games with the team.

At the conclusion of the 2022 MLB season, he was named the Cubs' ninth-best MLB prospect. He recorded 37 home runs during that season. His baseball fame has led him to amass more than 20,000 followers on his Instagram page.

He is a native of Montecristi, Dominican Republic.

He shares a May 7th birthday with Alex Smith .
