ABOUT ALEXA BLAIR ROBERTSON

Professional dancer, TikTok star, actress, model. and pediatric cancer survivor. She joined the Knicks City Dancers in 2022. She was an actress in the film One Summer which was released fall of 2021. She has had several other small roles in both TV and film. She posts photos and videos of her work with the Knicks City Dancers on her _alexablair Instagram page.

She was four years old when was diagnosed with a stage four Wilms' tumor, which is a rare kidney cancer. She was rushed into surgery and it took multiple years of treatment before she was cancer-free. She continued dancing when she was well enough and gradually honed her skills. In 2015 she was one of eight dancers chosen to perform with Janet Jackson during the Raleigh stop of the singer's 2015 world tour. She continued dancing in high school and college before becoming a full-time professional dancer.

She was given just an 11% chance of surviving her cancer. She received the academic excellence award in science in high school. She majored in biology and minored in both chemistry and dance at Duke University . She hopes to one day be a pediatric surgeon. She volunteered during college by working in special education at an elementary school and also taught dance to children.

She was born in North Carolina. She grew up in Raleigh with her parents and two sisters.

She has performed alongside artists such as Hailee Steinfeld and Jordan Fisher .
