ABOUT ALEX CRAWFORD

Nigerian-born English journalist known for her work in South Africa with Sky News. She covered such events as the Libyan Civil War of 2011 and the Northern Mali conflict of 2013.

Before becoming a Sky News foreign correspondent, she wrote for the Wokingham Times and worked for the TV-am and BBC United Kingdom television networks.

The Royal Television Society presented her with numerous Journalist of the Year honors.

Her marriage to sports writer Richard Edmondson produced four children.

She and fellow British broadcast journalist Dermot Murnaghan both worked for Sky News.
