ABOUT ALESSANDRO MICHELE

Italian fashion designer who is best known for having been appointed the creative director of Gucci in 2015. He was responsible for managing Gucci's collections as well as maintaining its global brand image. He was known primarily for the "Geek-Chic" aesthetic that frequently appeared in his work.

He studied at the Accademia di Costume e di Moda in Rome.

He spent time working as a senior accessories designer for Fendi. He stepped down from the role of creative director in November 2022.

He is from Italy. His father was an Alitalia technician, and his mother was an assistant to a movie executive.

He posed for a photo with actor Jared Leto in June 2016.
