ABOUT ALEJANDRO LOZANO
Painter and art teacher best known for his works "Christ and the Samaritan," "Calvary," and other mosaic murals.
He attended Madrid's El Pardo Seminary and received his Ordination in 1965. Later, he studied painting and mural art at the Conservatori Municipal d’Arts Massana of Barcelona.
He traveled to Venezuela in 1978 and created murals for the Tucupita Cathedral. He soon earned a teacher's certificate and taught in Venezuela and Barcelona.
He married Francisca Tormo in 1975 in Catalonia.
He and Diego Rivera were both well-known muralists, the latter being from Mexico.
