ABOUT ALEC BURLESON
Professional outfielder and utilityman that was drafted by the St. Louis Cardinals during the second round of the 2020 Major League Draft. Prior to being drafted, he played college baseball at East Carolina University . During his junior year, he was named a finalist for the John Olerud National Player of the Year Award.
He is a graduate of East Lincoln High School in Denver, North Carolina. While there, he played both baseball and basketball.
He made his official major league debut playing against the Washington Nationals on September 8, 2022. He finished the game going 0 for 4.
Growing up, he lived with his family in North Carolina. He also has a brother named Bradley.
He collected his first MLB hit facing Duane Underwood Jr. during a 4-3 win versus the Pittsburgh Pirates .
