Albert Gilbert

ABOUT ALBERT GILBERT

Canadian photographer who became known as the Ambassador of Canadian Photography.

He was raised in Toronto, Ontario, by his father, who worked as a photographer.

The Professional Photographers of Canada awarded him with the Photographer of the Year Award in 1968, 1969, and 1973.

He has a son, Michael Gilbert, who also became a photographer.

Starting in 1950, he has photographed every Prime Minister of Israel, including Benjamin Netanyahu .
