ABOUT ALAN BLUMLEIN
Audio engineer who combined stereo sound. He made many contributions to telecommunications, sound recording, television, and radar.
He graduated from the Imperial College in London with honors.
He had 128 patents to his name. He was killed while secretly testing the H2S airborne radar system in 1942.
He married schoolteacher Doreen Lane after two years of courtship.
He worked for EMI, which grew to be a huge record label with a roster of famous artists like George Martin .
