He studied law at Alexandria University before moving to New York, where he graduated from New York University .
His 2012 short film, Noor, screened at over thirty film festivals worldwide.
He is married to Egyptian pop singer Angham .
He worked with actors Claire Danes and Mandy Patinkin on Homeland.
