He was born and raised in Newcastle, England. Prior to going on the show, he had been in two long-term relationships. He briefly dated Zara McDermott in 2018. In September 2023, he began a relationship with television host Laura Woods . In August 2024, they announced they were expecting their first child together. They announced their engagement a month later. They welcomed their son, Leo Ernie Collard, in January 2025.
