ABOUT ACACIA JOHNSON
Photographer and artist who is known for going on a variety of different expeditions and photographing the journey, the culture, and the natural landscapes that she visits. Specializing in Alaska and a variety of Polar Regions, she shares her travel photography through Instagram for her overĀ 160,000 followers.
She graduated from the Rhode Island School of Design and later moved to Scandinavia to explore and photograph. She began pursuing her career full time in 2014 when she was awarded a Fulbright grant in Canada to pursue a project about Inuit relationships to the winter landscapes of Baffin Island.
Her work has been included in the permanent collections of the Anchorage Museum and the Smithsonian Museum of American History. She has also been published in National Geographic and Proof Magazine.
She was born and raised in Alaska.
