ABOUT ABRAHAM ALMONTE

Professional outfielder that was acquired by the Boston Red Sox in July 2022. Prior to Boston, he played for the Milwaukee Brewers , Atlanta Braves , San Diego Padres , Arizona Diamondbacks , Kansas City Royals , Cleveland Indians , Seattle Mariners , and the New York Yankees .

He first signed to the New York Yankees as an international free agent in 2005. He began his career playing for the DSL Yankees rookie affiliate team.

He made his major league debut playing against the Houston Astros on August 30, 2013, as a member of the Mariners. He became the seventh player in Mariners history with 2+ RBIs in their MLB debut.

He lives along with his wife, Virginia, and their two children. He is a native of Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic.

He credits Manny Ramírez as being one of his biggest baseball influences growing up.
