ABOUT AARON WESTBERRY

Reality star known for appearing on season 20 of American Idol in 2022. During his Idol audition, he performed "2016" by Sam Hunt . Judge Luke Bryan told him he had a "heartbreak tone." He advanced to the Hollywood round.

In 2019, he graduated from Eastside High School, South Carolina. He sang in the youth choir at Taylors Baptist Church. He learned to play the piano as a child.

During 2020 quarantine, he learned to play the theme of Pirates of the Caribbean: The Curse of the Black Pearl . In the summer of 2021, he began writing and making his own music. Prior to his debut on Idol, he was in the Air Force Reserved Officers' Training Corps. He wanted to become a pilot.

His mother, sister and brother are all musically inclined.

The judges on Idol season 20 included Katy Perry and Lionel Richie .
